Island Games - Gotland 2017 Day 2
The second day's play in the golf event took place at Visby Golf Club, with the Ladies playing first. For the team event the Ladies had a much improved day and moved up to fourth position in the team event table with a total of 518. They trail the Isle of Man (in Bronze medal position) by a mere 4 strokes.
In the individual event Flora Keites added an 83 to her opening 79 and now lies in second place behind Aland's Emma Lindman who carded a best of the day 73 to her opening ...79. Flora trails her by 10 strokes. The other Jersey Ladies individual scores were Hannah Scriven 85, Helen Lagadu 86 and Juanita Adlington 87.
Like the Ladies, the Men's team improved on yesterday's performance and now lead the team event by a single stroke from Isle of Man. Team Jersey are currently on 441 and the Isle of Man on 442.
Jason Stokes is currently in gold medal position having carded a 73 to add to his 71 yesterday. Gavin O'Neill is currently in a tie for Bronze having also shot a 73 to add to his opening 73. Alex Guelpa carded a 74 and Matthew Parkman an 81.
Overall, it is currently looking good for Team Jersey. A good performance tomorrow could see the Men cement their standing at the top of the table and the Ladies move into a medal position.
